Many thanks for your response re my Variax 700 acoustic question .. I was wondering about the clash between the 'real strings' and the 'pseudo detuned' sound

I understand that you have recently been involved in a project with Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens in past years). I was wondering if you are allowed to tell us a little more about the project ?

Is this a future album release ??

What were your feelings, working with such a 'huge' figure ?

Hi Chris

Yusuf Islam is a lovely man and it was a real thrill to work with him. The producer is Rick Nowels, who's got quite an amazing CV himself. Rick rang me after Sir Danny Thompson recommended me for the gig. It's demos basically, as Yusuf hasn't been in the studio to record new songs for thirty years or so. And the moment he started to sing he sounded just like Cat Stevens! I really hope it goes through to be a new album project and I'd love to do more with him.
