Intriguing - bound to be worth a listen.  I'm tempted to question any of those as actually being part of the counter culture, although arguably they might once have been, I suppose.

Intriguing - bound to be worth a listen.  I'm tempted to question any of those as actually being part of the counter culture, although arguably they might once have been, I suppose.


I think he just chose to interview his favourite famous contacts of a certain age, tbh.

They were all, at very least, witnesses.

Joe Boyd, for one, is quite the raconteur. He does always seem to be at the center of things.

I'm always  wary of another programme about the era. Rehash, oversimplify,  generalise and  basically tell  us what we already know is the rule with these programmes. It's not a bad programme for that time of day, but so far, 5 minutes in,  going for food shopping has proved more attractive.

Y know i may be just being old and grumpy. I hope it shapes up.
Radio 4 is a lifeline for me sometimes  and i do want the  quality  to hold.
The documentary about hiroshima last week was very good.
