Canal locks are now locked…..
Hardly any boats above or below the main drag.
You could moor literally just along from Cropredy top lock.

The tickets have been sold , the resale is actually an irrelevance , unfortunate if you can’t go , it happens.
The festival will be great , the fringe music looks great , the stalls will be great , the food will be great, the drink will be great and of course those in attendance are great.
Sounds good to me.

Apologies, I wasn’t trying to suggest it wouldn’t be great… as someone who went about 25 times,  I know that it is!…I was merely responding to the comments made above! If you look back, I was saying earlier, I wondered why people were worried about this when it always happens.

Nobody was worried about this...someone was just pointing out there seems to be considerably more of it than in previous years.

My theory is that with the limited attendance this year, there may have been more "fence sitters" that bought tickets early before making a final decision on whether to go or not.

Just thinking, with the Birminham connection there might be a tribute to Ozzie at Croppers? Miles apart but both Brummets. It would be amazing and even though different genres, I don't think there would be a dry eye in the house . Would be amazing to hear Fairport doing Paranoid, with a fab violin solo by Ric. Just saying, but wouldn't that be fab?? Well for me it would.

Well, the Decemberists played Paranoid the other night, so anything’s possible! Whilst I’m speculating, I reckon there will be a “Rising” 50th anniversary special this year, especially as Vikki Clayton is playing the Brasenose on the Sunday….

Bizarrely the canal between little Bourton lock and Cropredy is now up about 4ft from last week and would clearly be navigable by boat.
I’m really surprised it isn’t open for at least a couple of days in case anyone still wants to get to the festival.

Cool morning today , showers later but clearing.
Lots of movement on the field
Fencing arrived, backstage marquee and cd tent up , trackways being put in on the field by Jonah’s oak and the cricket pitch portakabin / checkpoint had just been delivered.
All looking good so far

A couple of heavy downpours today of 15 mins each and breezy.
Warm this afternoon into evening.
The stage is up!!
More trackways in….
Fields have been marked out and a few more marquees up , no bar yet although that may be because it’s forecast to be breezy tomorrow.
Field next to main field quite thistly in places if camping there….
Going still firm

I had a sad moment yesterday evening when I realised that in a week's time I'd be back home and it would all be over for another year.  But first to enjoy it all!
