Campsite stickers and information arrived today in the post.

One notable thing: the leaflet says that fields 4 and 5 may not be used and to keep an eye on the website for updates.

Note that the letter was not Recorded Delivery or Signed-For, unlike previous years. So it's well worth ensuring you have received these in good  time. If you don't get yours, then I'd guess AXS are the first port of  call.

Also, I noticed the Roger Dean t-shirts have been reduced to £15 in the website shop. I rather like the colour Cropredy design on the dark t-shirt.

So no extra tranche of tickets, which is understandable given that it took longer to sell 6,500 tickets than last year.

See you on the field.

Only a little, but yes...

Fwiw, I'm very pleased the festival has sold out, and equally pleased they haven't added further tickets.  I really hope this scenario prolongs the long history of the festival for another couple of years when they can bow out in style in 2027 (just my opinion, of course).

I'd view my odds of getting to the end of 2027 at about 50/50...and these guys have a couple of decades or more on me Wink  Going out on the 60th anniversary has to be an option, I'd have thought, but what do I know?  One year at a time...I really hope 2025 is a success in whatever terms they need.

I guess they either wither away slowly or have to plan a final "Farewell Farewell" tour and Cropredy to wrap things up. We have the 50th anniversary of the first Cropredy in either 2026 or 2029 depending on what counts as the first, and 2027 is the 60th anniversary of Fairport themselves. Else Cropredy 2047 will be Sandy Denny's fridge on stage with the band's cryonically preserved brains bubbling away in jars inside and plugged into the stage gear via MIDI....  Grin

The fringe and the fest could  be of similar size……the fringe pulling similar numbers over 3/4 days……and a string fringe line up…

Lots more space in the field so I know where I'd rather be... Wink

Hi David, it’s impossible to judge crowds from memory. I went to a couple of Cropredies very early 80s and then regularly from 1995 to 2018 . We all have rose tinted specs so those days of the 2 day fest in the 90s were special times . I know I did a fest with 20,000 people , 97? when it was v dif to get down the front etc but 6.500 is going to feel a v different fest.
It will feel like going backwards . It may be intimate and lovely with Fairport fans . For many years we went to see Fairports and that changed with a different audience.
So I hope it’s lovely, that it evokes the past for people.
I am of an age where my musical icons and my memories are dying……I hope the band love it , the audience love it….
All things must pass…sadly …..

The honest truth is the 6500 people in '25 will take up the same space that 20000 people took up in '97  Wink Grin  Got to be honest, I enjoyed the pub scene in Cropredy when I used to go but I think 'the fringe' is somewhat parasitic to the festival proper, and isn't a good thing (to the extent that it has been monetised and expanded).
