Apparently the internet connection is a bit iffy, so it may not be possible. Interestingly, his daughters didn’t see him very often and have asked for any suggestions regarding music.
Any ideas - other than MOTL?
I'm surprised that the internet connection is not rock solid, given the amount of funerals held during lockdown and in periods of very few attendees being allowed. Have you spoken with the Crem? By scheduling the funeral so early in the day and having no follow-on meetup, it's made it very difficult for us to go. Wendy and I are still cogitating, because we want to show respect for a good friend, but the above does make it difficult. Is anybody from TalkAWhile definitely going? If so, Wendy and I may yet decide to join you - we could meet afterwards to reminisce. If not, then I guess that Cropredy Saturday evening will fulfil that purpose.

Wanted to go, but the early start and a late night the night before have caused us to decide not to attend, sadly. As well as the lack of a meet up following the service. All very sad. 😥😥😥💙

We had fully intended to go, assuming it would be in Alsager. The traffic on M6 South etc at that time of day , particularly on a Monday will be horrendous. Makes it very difficult.

I've tried to contact the Crem direct to see if Adrian's funeral can be made available online via Zoom or somesuch.
Phone was straight to an answerphone.
So I've emailed them. One address guarantees an answer in 10-15 working days, the other blocked my enquiry.
Frustrating.
I've also asked Adrian's daughters on his timeline, let's see what response that gets.

It's extraordinarily sad that Adrian was largely estranged from his daughters, to the point that they don't even know what music he liked. I've PM'd you a couple of suggestions. By scheduling the funeral so early in the day and having no follow-on meetup, it's made it very difficult to go. My father's funeral was during the height of the pandemic. There were no streaming facilities whatsoever and only five of us in attendance (only immediate family was allowed). It was very sad and painful but unfortunately it seems fairly common.

Good evening.
I’ve been in touch with one of Adrian’s daughters, and she has kindly given me her address if anyone wants to send a card, and also the details of a live weblink for the funeral. It will be available live, and for seven days afterwards, so you can view it at your convenience.
I’ll post the details in the Arms, as this is the public part of the board so I don’t want to post personal details here.
