So I have now waded through the six discs of The New Electric Muse 1 & 2 and it acts as an excellent primer for all sorts of acts I have never heard before. Some feel worthy of further investigation. My question is, are they? Let's start with Dransfield and The Humblebums. Worth investment? And if so, what?

Always liked the Dransfields as a duo and both Robin and Barry individually, I love Rout if the Blues by the duo, but there output isn’t pretty special and Barry’s contributions to the Morris on stuff is great too. I have only heard a little of the Humblebums but I think both Gerry and Billy’s future output was better, I can’t remember if Mary Skeffington was there’s or just Raffertys because that’s a good track.

The Dransfield’s concept album “The Fiddler’s Dream” is a firm favourite of mine.

I absolutely love Barry Dransfields self titled LP.     So far it's the only Dransfield item I've heard.

Another vote for Fiddlers Dream. I also have a couple more of the duo albums which I havent really listened to enough to comment. Barry's self titled album is worth a listen.
