good list but I would replace the Eliza Carthy by Natalie Maines "Mother".

There were plenty I had to leave off by the likes of Mary Chapin Carpenter, Roseanne Cash, Elastica and Virginia Kettle to name but a few.

I saw Rosanne live about 4 years ago and it was the best concert by a female artiste I have seen for years.

Same for me with Mary Chapin Carpenter a couple of years ago.
