I have wondered about that myself but I don't know the answer.

Ian (fRoots) Anderson has a connection with Radio Scarborough I think, and he was always to be seen wandering around Cropredy site.

Just looking at some Cropredy pics from the last few years on the day it should all have been starting - last night's thunderstorms notwithstanding!

Just thought I'd share a couple...

Our t-shirts have arrived! I could only get an extra-large in the Cows one so it will swamp me, but I'll cope Smiley Mike has a crew t-shirt.

I've also had a delivery of a dozen bottles of Thatchers Zero cider which should see me through Saturday evening....  Tongue

Bring it on!  Tiara

My brother and I, and Swamp Donkey if he makes it, are standing (virtually) on Cropredy Bridge watching the arrivals, drinking champagne and eating bacon sarnies!

To keep this authentic, somebody should be moaning about arriving a exactly 7am, but being redirected to field 13.

T-shirts and wristbands arrived yesterday ready to wear to a socially distanced mini event with friends on Saturday. Intending to turn up with our arena field shopping trolley full of usual paraphernalia plus chairs. Tempted to go over earlier and throw a groundsheet over their lawn to stake our spot!

Probably driving away from Workington towards Manchester when the event takes place, so i will have a drink when i get home and catch up on the whole virtual Cropredy, which i was both surprised and very happy to have been asked to be involved in a small way.

Watched "The Festival Bell" at 1600, followed by "The Lark..." medley featuring Mr Mattacks' tremendous percussion intro.  Both from last year!

Looking forward to some beers this evening.

I’m with you Paul T, but I started at 12:00. Listened to the same. Should be a virtually good weekend.
Take care, stay safe, Keith

I'd have joined you at noon, Keith, but I knew I'd have to drive later.  Of course, as per usual, I said to myself "go for the Hook Norton best bitter, lay off the Old Hooky until later". Yeah right!

All the best to you & yours, enjoy the weekend and keep well!

Well, true to their word, Radio Scarborough have kicked off their virtual Cropredy- now playing Festival Bell to open it - which in itself is encouraging
Radioscarborough.com - its that easy. Sounds promising.  Peggy now in an interview re Cropredy in general. On till midnight...
