Hi Frog

I've asked Gareth if the toast can find a place in the Cropredy Connection online show planned for this years would be Cropredy Saturday. Ill let you know what he says.

Trev

Cheers, mate.
I'm sure we'll all be raising a glass at the usual time.

This from Gareth Today.

"Hi Trevor

I've pointed Nev Bull who is putting the show together to the TAW post on this subject. I believe he has contacted someone there to take this further.

Best regards

gareth"

It's all under control, thanks to Trev.

My suggestion is that we have somebody (hello Frog) do the toast and just have photos from previous ones as the video.

I will ask around as how best to do this. I do have a person who knows his way around a video editor, who owes me one.
We need somebody to do the speech.

Let's work this in stages:

First question. Is going with stills from previous posts a good idea?

I sent you an IM just as you posted this.

Really it is thanks to Trev who has taken the initiative and got the ball rolling on this.  Grin

Things to do, but it's looking good. More soon.

The situation is that The Toast will be in the official festival stream at the normal time and we have until Friday to sort it out.

The plan is that it will be a two minute video, with still photos over the narration.

The initial plan:

Welcome to the TAW toast, by the Frog.

Then an explanation narrated by somebody. (We have ideas) Or photos starting with Ces, Swarb, Maart and Judy. Then photos of previous toast, including as many people as possible.

Then the toast 'Absent Friends' done by somebody who hasn't done it before.

Finally daughter of YaBB to link to donations to the Teenage Cancer trust.

It must be made very clear across all media that this isn't a strictly TAW event.

Although the roots are firmly with Ces and Swarb, it has expanded and is all about everybody's 'absent friends'.

Nobody needs to feel excluded just because they are new to this and at Cropredy passers by get dragged in.

This is wonderful! Thanks to Trev, Colin, Frog, Gareth and all who are making this possible.
Iíll be raising a glass and thinking of all of you and absent friends....unfortunately Iíve a few more to add to the list this year....from this side of the pond.
