It's that time of year again. So far listed are items by Bert Jansch, Barry Dransfield,  Tull, Mellow Candle, Shirley Collins/Davy Graham, Davy Graham.

Also Pink Floyd's last ever performance.... Arnold Layne at the Syd tribute.

Nick Mason See Emily Play/Vegetable Man

and Alice Cooper live in Glasgow 1982.

I won't be bothering, again, but I will be watching to see how fast and how much when they hit eBay.

There's a post here, where the release booklet has been posted  https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/record-store-day-rsd-2020-april-18.919354/page-13

This is a better link, easier to read https://exclaim.ca/music/article/heres_the_unofficial_list_of_2020_record_store_day_releases

And how much cheaper they are a month later..

If you know of a nice property to rent in 'Mid Wales' (Powys really, possibly Ceredigion/Monmouthshire) for a year from Aug 2020 do please drop me a line.  Many thanks!

The Ed Askew and Trembling Bells sounds interesting...presumably from the 2017 Cafe Oto gig?

But...Sun Ra, Egypt '71 [5 LP]?  Shocked  Oh my giddy aunt...

Yes, the Hoffman forum is the first place RSD seems to get discussed. A lot of vinyl lovers on there.

I was hoping not to have to spend any money this year, but it looks like I'll be  after the Bert Jansch live 2LP at least.

Intrigued by this:

The Doors - The Soft Parade: Doors Only Mix

Also, I see Neil Young's Homegrown is getting its initial release on RSD.

Mellow Candle and Neil Young have piqued my interest, but probably not enough to join the queue.

I suspect one will be a lot easier to obtain after the event than the other...but I may be wrong.

Dyou mean the Mellow Candle? I'm guessing this because NY must have more of a following.

It's nice that Mellow Candle is getting a release, though I dont really need it. The Rise Above Relics 2LP edition I bought a few years ago is very good, definitive even.

Yes I'm friends with her onFbk. It's nice to see her still doing music.

I could not partake even if I wanted to as there are no local participating stores but there is not much to get me out of bed there anyway, assuming the Neil Young is subsequently getting a wider release which is believed to be the case. I might pick up Odds & Sods, Sweet Relief and the Steve Earle single if I had the chance.

I've heard that Neil Young has pulled Homegrown from the RSD listings.  He's so reliably flaky.

In case anyone was wondering RSD 2020 has been split into 3 separate events or 'drops' in August, September and October.
