It's 17 years since TAW started, although I've only been here 15, I already feel part of an extended family that goes around the (folk) world.
Many thanks to Colin (YABB Master) and everyone else who has kept this a (mostly) nice place.
Now, if only we can find the bucket of eecummingses that Jude left in the snug, we'd be all set for a celebration!

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion, C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.
Lost in time like tears in the rain

You beat me - I joined in June 2005, so only 14 years. But I agree that this does feel like a family, and I enjoy meeting some of you at Cropredy (or occasionally elsewhere).
I echo the thanks to all who keep the ship sailing along calmly!

Happy birthday.. 15 years for me, though it feels like a lot less. Normally a nice calm space to visit and relax.

Blimeyheck - my profile tells me I registered on TAW on 10th June 2003! and I've been logged in for 48 1/2 days! WKWTTG indeed?! Heartfelt thanks to YABB, to our esteemed moderators (even Dredd!), and to all who have ever contributed to this august (pun intended!) forum. I've met - "virtually" and in real life - some marvellous folk through TAW ! So a glass raised to TAW, and another to those who've been here over the years, but are no longer with us, for whatever reasons...

Thanks everybody. However it still leaves the question, why have over 45,000 Russians attempted to register on TAW?

Many thanks from me too. Re the Russians, I wonder if a part of our URL has a hidden meaning in Russian and they think it is some kind of dating site.

I registered in 2004 but it's more the hours spent that are shocking!! Not wasted though! So glad we're still running, its a great community, informative and so good to recognise a face or two as I attend festivals and gigs around the country. Long to reign over us.... Thank you Colin and the Mods. (Benny and the jets sprung in to my head as I typed that for some reason! )
