Once again, why the hell no Merry Hell? I'd much prefer them to hearing Trevor Horne again. Just sayin'...

That was my point ...Trevor Horn and the Bar Stewards twice in the last 2-3 years when there are so many others about!

Its a forum (the friendliest one I know FWIW), and I was expressing an opinion. Hope that's ok...

Great for me, save some dosh, Saturday only.

Interestingly it seems that three day tickets will be available along with teen tickets first.
No mention of one day tickets being on sale yet although I may have misread things

Try and keep on topic. This thread is about turns that are appearing.

I love Martyn Joseph and Home Service and would watch them time and time again. Turin Brakes are a huge favourite and I'm really looking forward to seeing them. It almost goes without saying that I'm looking forward to seeing RT and Fairport too. Steve Hackett I can take or leave. Edward II I enjoyed on the one occasion I've seen them, ditto Trevor Horn, but not sure I'm over the moon about seeing them again.

For what it's worth, not everyone can get to Cropredy every year, so for some this might be the first time seeing some of these acts.

A great, diverse, well balanced line up of acts for next year.
Some new to me and some very familiar.
Looking forward to the return of Home Service, the first time I saw them was when they played maybe 8 years ago and have enjoyed ever since. I wonder if John Tams may be Compere for the day?
Steve Hackett was superb last time and the set should be quite different as based on Selling England.
Rosalie Cunningham looks to be very interesting .
Never seen Clannad I am sure that will be a great experience.
Bar Stewards for pure entertainment!
Full House was the first FC album I got to hear (borrowed from local library when my income source was a paper delivery round)  so happy memories.
All In all well done to the organisers for getting this together for our enjoyment.

There are a lot of retreads on the bill again this year, although it was six years since Hackett was last at Cropers. I'm really looking forward to re-connecting with Clannad in a concert setting, it will be 35 years since I last saw them, which was when they toured the Macalla album, The Doonicans will, I know, be a highlight for me, as will Trevor Horn, despite it only being two years since his last appearance.
Turin Brakes will be interesting as it's years since I saw them and of course the weekend highlight has to be Full House with RT, that should be a transcendental experience.

Great point. This forum is mainly regulars at Cropredy, the vast majority of the audiance is now newcomers. Steve Hackett was last there 6 years ago, so my wife, who will be attending her 5th Cropredy, is really looking forward to seeing him, for the first time! (and for what its worth, I cant wait for Trevor Horn again. He should have been headline last time.)

Iíve only got a couple of Clannad albums, but thoroughly enjoy them. However, Iím a bit concerned on how theyíll translate to a cold, dark field. Got a feeling that there might be an exodus as the night wears on. Anyone seen them at night at a festival?

Very few bands survive a cold, wet evening at Cropredy with ease. We can only hope for a mild August breeze and temperatures in the 30s (Celsius).

Didn't get our hope last year then!
