I rarely bother with new artists, but occasionally i give some time to one who fits my 'like' template. Gwennifer Raymond is at a venue practically on my doorstep in October, so i shall be there.
I also rarely bother with live music. The prices for well known acts have got silly. And travelling is a challenge now. Moreover, i've been disappointed with one or 2 gigs, and i tend to remember those as much as the enjoyable ones. I had a conversation with an audio dealer the other day and we agreed that our home systems are more interesting.

I saw her about 4 or 5 years ago - utterly bewitching talent. She's even played just down the road from me recently but sadly I was otherwise engaged. Recommended.

Percy's Saving Grace. Personally, I preferred them when they were playing little theatres in Wales and the Marches but, hey, things move on...

Saw an advert for Bob Dylan playing Swansea in November. We've never seen him live.
Checked the prices. Absolutely mental.
Still never going to have seen him live.

Think it's sold out isn't it, so the price you're seeing is probably resale? Although, on checking, maybe not...£83++ I think? Quite bizarre that he's playing 3 nights in Swansea and, given the fact he's (politely) so erratic these days, that they've sold out...

Did see Bob Dylan in 1979/80 some where in London, Slow train running album was out, and the whole show from memory was the new stuff. Missed him at the festival in Blackbush Airfied in 1978, due to doubling up on prescribed anti depressant tablets by mistake and not feeling at all right. (Walked from Fleet hants to Blackbush and back)

Pretty sure that would have been 1981, as I don't think he played outside the US and Canada in 1979/80. Jules

You're never going to see what all the fuss is about from one Bob Dylan gig. Especially one from the mid 90s. Or, for that matter, now. Jules

I'm glad I saw him once - Hammersmith Odeon on the Oh Mercy tour, so I guess it was 1990. Pretty sure I'll never see him again though.

He had a few years of doing Hammy Odeon runs around then. I saw a couple...one with Ron Wood appearing. On one he played Wiggle Wiggle and I kid you not...it was awesome! Also saw him at Wembley in '84 and Hyde Park in '96. All decent (especially Wembley) although the last one was a little bit iffy. Funnily enough I've seen a few clips of things in the last year or so that have piqued my interest, but I generally think he's a complete parody of himself going through the motions these days.
