Love (Johnny Echols/Baby Lemonade) are touring in the Spring...

Generally modest venues and very modest ticket prices as well.

Maybe Psychedelic Furs on July 15 at ACL Live? Never seen 'em. "Love My Way" is a great tune.

Maybe The Fixx at Antone's in September? Saw 'em open for Foreigner in 1985, but not since. Love the early stuff.

Definitely Weird Al Yankovic at Bass Concert Hall July 31!

Sad news - Jeff Lynne's cancelled his last ever ELO show in Hyde Park on Sunday due to illness. Sharing in case anyone's due to go...

The magnificent Dr Strangely Strange are on the road in Ireland and in London this Autumn.

Wearing their hearts on their sleeves too...

Just purchased, Sir Paul McCartney, San Antonio Alamodome, October 25!

On the one hand, it's expensive. On the other hand, it was surprisingly less expensive than recent tickets for The Stones and The Who.

Not usually a big one for tribute acts, but my next couple of gigs (after Cropredy, of course) are to see This Is Floyd at our local Community Centre on Fri 29th Aug (saw them there last year under their previous name - The Darkside of Pink Floyd - and they were very good) and the next day Market Square Heroes (Fish era Marillion tribute act) at Tavistock Wharf.

Not a gig but the film of a famous gig - The Last Waltz is being shown at the Winter Gardens in Morecambe this Saturday. Slightly unfortunate timing considering the desperate situation Morecambe FC finds itself in just now. But it's a lovely venue to go and watch a film in.

Isn't it beyond desperate - it has now ceased breathing?

It's looking that way. There are reports that some staff are still turning up to work at the ground. I'm not much of a footie fan but it's a sad day for the town. Seems that plenty of away fans would stay for a night or two so it's going to hit the local economy hard. And AFAIK the Eden North project is still in the planning stage.

Back on topic we're going to see Chris Wood at a little place called Ulpha in Cumbria next month. It's in between Bigert Mire and Hoses. Excellent place names.  Smiley

Probably - Peter Noone at the Haute Spot Thursday night in Cedar Park!

I saw Peter years ago at a free summer concert in Boston, and he was quite funny and charming. He played all of the Herman's Hermits and solo hits, plus well-chosen covers. I think I need to go to this one.

Two gigs this weekend - Merry Hell tonight in a tiny bar in Leamington, and then Oysterband at Shrewsbury on Sunday for what is currently their last ever UK gig. Could be emotional, although I have heard they may be back for one or two occasional shows.

It isn't quite a real gig, but not sure quite where else to put it, but a friend and I have just booked to see the film of David Gilmour's Circus Maximus gig at our local cinema in a couple of weeks' time.  Should be fun.

I play bass with the band 'Bannockburn' and among other gigs, we do a lot of pre-match shows for the Tartan Army in Edinburgh and Glasgow. This Monday we're at Stramash on Cowgate in Edinburgh before and after a screening of the Scotland 'v' Bellarus match.

Our regular drummer can't make it and I'm going to have to put up with a dep, but it's only going to be Iain Bayne ex-RunRig!!!!!!  I'm not a football fan, but on this occasion, I'm somewhat looking forward to it !!
