The Decemberists are back in the UK but hopefully not just for this one megagig...

Looks like an excellent lineup. Hopefully they’ll announce some other Uk gigs….miffed that they’re playing New York the day before we arrive….

Presale underway for a little-known folk artist, Robert Zimmerman, at ACL Live April 5-6, 2024.

Mrs. J From A and I will attempt to secure our favorite table on the mezzanine level after the presale ends, as we successfully did with Richard Starkey, formerly of Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. We've seen Mr. Zimmerman several times before, and don't anticipate many more opportunities, but also aren't falling all over ourselves to get there. Wish us luck!

Bob Dylan, April 6, 2024, ACL Live, Austin, Texas!

Mezzanine Table 9! I've learned my lesson to skip the presale and wait for the general on-sale to pick up my favorite Mezz tables. For some reason, no part of the Mezz is available during the presale. All us geezers know it's the best seat in the house.

I bought my ticket at 10:00 a.m. today and tickets for both shows are all gone now. Austin comes out for Dylan, even if it doesn't turn out for other deserving artists of his generation.

Anyone seen SilverBlues? They have been described as Lindisfarne meets Fairport with Ric and Ray featuring. Playing at a local venue soon and tempted but would like some feedback from Knowledgeable people.

When they played their first gig at the New Forest Folk Festival last summer, they ended up concentrating on Lindisfarne numbers. At the time I remarked that there are already three Lindisfarne tribute bands touring the UK and four seemed a bit much.

Enjoyable, nonetheless. If the gig is reasonably priced, I'd go.

Thanks Andy. £20 and a lovely intimate venue. It sounds worth supporting but the higher ticket price has made me check before sending the cash.

Saucerful of Secrets tour dates

Love them, seen them twice, thought I'd scratched that particular itch, but maybe not ?
If you haven't seen the Saucers, and pre-Dark Side Floyd is your bag, I thoroughly recommend them. The material Dave 'n Rog won't touch played skilfully and importantly, with love.

Just announced, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Germania Amphitheater at the Circuit of the Americas, May 1, 2024!

I haven't seen Neil with the Horse since 1986. The wayback machine tells me I saw him again in 1993 backed by Booker T. and the M.G.s (R.I.P. Duck Dunn), in 2002 with CSN&Y (with Booker T. et al as the backing band), and by himself in 2011 with Bert Jansch opening. It's become a cliche to even say this, I know, but how many more chances will I get?

Just booked up to see Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets at Cardiff, June 24. Middling expensive at £60 each but quite near the front.

Well, this (Robin and Bina Williamson in London) might just be the most excited I've been about a gig in aeons.  Apparently he's not 'just' a retired musician and painter.  First gig announcement since 2019.  Whoop and indeed whoop.

Yes I saw this on Facebook.   Surprised me too.  Is it a one-off?
