... as indeed are 13/8 and 19/16.  Wink

You're telling me.

Mind you, our conductor bottles out at 9/8. Mind you, that's probably the limit for G&S anyway.

My first "exposure" to Fairport was a BBC2 In Concert back in 1988/9?? I was mainly impressed with DMs drumming with those weird and wonderful time signatures, in particular a tune Maart wrote called "On the Floor" to celebrate the birth of his son Gerrard. I might have to dig that out for a listen....  Smiley

Last Friday saw the return of live music to the Kitchen Garden Cafe in Birmingham, with a sold out, socially distanced show from Ian Prowse. Great night, artist and audience genuinely pleased to be back. Next month - November 2nd Liam O'Maonlai from Hothouse Flowers will be playing the same venue - can't wait  Smiley

Eight gigs booked for November - Liam O’Maonlai twice, Martyn Joseph twice, Gerry Colvin, Luke Jackson, Seth Lakeman and Martin Simpson. Hopefully making up for lost time unless any get cancelled as restrictions increase 🤔

Tony definitely has a horrible portrait in his attic.  He always was a handsome bugger.

I still think that pic must be 15-20 years old.  Surely to God?!

Comedian Dave Chappelle inexplicably scheduled four shows at Stubb's amphitheatre starting last night. Naturally, he caught the bug before even the first show and everything was cancelled.

They tried to pitch this as a socially distanced show, with $1,200-1,400 tables offered.

We're at Stage 5 in Austin right now. Folks are supposed to stay home unless they're going out for food or medical. I can't understand who thought this was a good idea.

Croydon is a tempting option.  The Fairfield Halls have been closed for the past few years for a major revamp and only re-opened at the end of 2019.  I’ve been looking forward to seeing what they have done with the place.  It is closed again at the moment, of course, and is currently being used as a Covid vaccination centre.

Chris Smither is performing in a ‘streaming global tour’ on several dates in March.  The concerts are ticketed and part of the proceeds will go to the Sidmouth folk festival
Chris Smither – Mandolin Box Office

Bruce Molsky will be performing a ‘virtually Green Note’ concert on Feb. 24th.  The stream will be available on a donations basis and part of the proceeds will go to the Green Note.
