I really do hope Howard does turn up, but I seem to remember reading (at the time of the release of the awesome Buzzkunst Pete/Howard album) about some lengthy feud between him and Diggle?

Tonight, dear fiends, im off to Sale Waterside to see the Goldhawks play Quadrophenia by th'Oo.
I saw it on a regular emither the theatre sends me and quite fancied it.
I will let you know tomorrow how good, bad or indifferent it was.
I'm quite looking forward to it.

Excellent band, did full justice to the material and universally well recieved by the audience , who, unsurprisingly, were largely men of a certain age.  The theatre was a bit less than half full which demonstrates the difficulty of attracting a crowd if its not a name but on the upside it was over by 945pm which left plenty of time to get slopped up in a nearby pub before phoning the younger daughter for a lift home😁

Gilmore & Roberts tomorrow night at Petfringe, which is not as it sounds a dog grooming parlour but a small festival in Petworth in Sussex.

Santana / The Doobie Brothers, Tuesday, July 9, at the Austin360 Amphitheater in sweltering extreme east Austin!

Assuming all goes according to plan, I will be able to post a meet-and-greet photo with the Doobies a few days after the event. Keep Rockin' Down the Highway and Listen to the Music, and we'll hear that funky Dixieland while taking our pretty mamas by the hand....

Having had a very pleasant, if hot, day at Abbotsbury for Show of Hands’ one day festival last year we are going again this year. The line up is SoH, Tom Robinson, Track Digs, Banter, & Kelly Oliver. The weather forecast looks promising so hoping for another good time.

It’s also very good excuse for a long weekend in Dorset and the discovery that Bridport has a new parkrun (as of last week) so we don’t need to miss out on our parkrun fix is an extra bonus!

Mrs DJS has a ticket she can't use for the sold out The National gig at Castlefield Bowl, Manchester this Wed.  Drop me a line if you (or anybody you know) might be interested.  Ta.
