Off to see Flook at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal this evening. They've recently set up an account on Instagram with the username flookquartet if anyone's interested. Followed by caradillonsings - no surprise there as Ed Boyd has been a part of Cara's backing band on and off for a while.

And I see their new album is now available. Might just have to make a purchase this evening.  Smiley

Bit surprised to see quite a few seats still available for tonight's gig. Thought it might have sold out.

I was going to come back for this, but have too much else on, sadly.  Thankfully I'm seeing them in a couple of weeks.  Should be fab.

William the Conqueror should be good. Ruarri Joseph, who is the main man, writes some great songs.

Not a gig as such, but stand up comedians (do the others sit down?  Undecided ) Jared Christmas and Andy Askins trying out their Edinburgh Fringe material. 2 hours of (hopefully) comedy for £15!!

Apparently, most comedy clubs only allow comedians a 45 minute slot, but in Edinburgh you have 60 minutes to fill, so comedians are crying out for places that will allow them to try out their full 60 minute routine. Our local theatre www.thesmallspace.co.uk (the UK's smallest theatre) are happy to accommodate them! Winner, winner, chicken dinner and all that  Cheesy

Just got my ticket to see Thea Gilmore at The Acapella, Pentyrch (near Cardiff) on 29th May, which is the day after my son, Paul gets married - so a busy week for me. Interestingly, for this tour, Thea will be joined onstage by Kat Gilmore (no relation) taking time off from her Gilmore/Roberts commitments. Looking forward to it immensely.

Blimey, Kat's going to be busy. She has G&R and Willows shows lined up too. The life of a working musician.

Plus of course a new baby that travels with her to gigs. Jamie looked after her during the Willows gig.

Me too. Especially his first two albums and his most recent collection is pretty good too. I wont be catching him on this year's UK jaunt but have done so many times, most recently in Crawley last summer. And apologies for the misquote. It should have been "How in the hell can you say what you just said?"
