Vote here to your favorite artists at Fairport's Cropredy Convention 2019

We're using the new complicated voting system again  Grin

Basically you have 42 points to allocate.
You can distribute them however you like.
Just select the number of points you want to give each turn.
Until you click 'Vote' you can change them.
The software will automatically limit the total.

Members with less than ten posts can't vote, to avoid artist's fans turning up mob handed.
However you can ask to vote.
If moderators see an outbreak of 'me too' posts the offender will be banned from ever voting.

Once submitted you can't change your vote.

Comments on how you voted and lobbying are welcome.

BTW Once you have voted you will be able to see how it's going, but you aren't allowed to say. Any spoiler posts will be deleted.

Any questions, please ask before you vote, as the moderators (or even admins) can't edit a poll.

What if I wasn't there every day? Well ideally don't use all your points.
I got the voting wrong, can I change it? No, this board's software won't allow editing polls.
But I want to give Dicky Digance all my points. Why not? Sorry it's a maximum of 10 per artist.
Did you do that to deliberately wind up the apostrophe pedants? Yes.

This poll will run for 12 days, to allow for people who went on holiday.

Voted.  My big points went to Fairport - one of the best Cropredy performances I have seen (after a slow start) - Richard Thompson, Seth and Tide Lines, with a smattering of points to other artists.

Is that a spoiler post tee hee!

Myself and J normally work this out together, but we are not in agreement currently so I will have to go solo.

I am probably going Tidelines, Daphne’s Flight, Fairport and the maestro, RT for my main points.

Still not sure. J thinks Waterboys, but I have seen them when I have enjoyed them more. We were also debating who is best out of RT and Martin Simpson...well, J was....I KNOW it’s my hero...sorry J loses that one.

Maybe Waterboys was down to mood on the day, as someone mentioned in another post.

Max points from me to Mr Turner, for sheer exuberance. Honourable mentions for FC and RT..

I'd have thought FC would always get top slot, and RT predictably huge score. So I'm not going to pay them any attention in this poll (hard woman that i am) because I see this more as a vote for the guest artistes.

I agree...as it’s “their” festival I never give them many votes. As you say I regard this poll as a popularity vote for guest artists

There have been years when Fairport didn't make the top ten, which has strained relationships. However in the last five years there have been two wins for the home team.  Grin

Haven't been able to decide yet,  I try to limit my enthusiasm for the main card, FC, RT etc, but I loved so much of the undercard this year it's like choosing between my children.

I have gone Daphne’s, Tidelines, Fairport and the Maestro RT for higher scores, Martin Barre, Wilson and Wakeman for middle ones,no low ones.

Interesting!  Shocked

Well voted, but found it very difficult as I kept running out of points. Smiley

Best Fairport set for a long time, some of my existing favourites, and a couple of newcomers who were absolutely brilliant.
