Well the most positive thing I can say was they gave me the opportunity to go back and check my tent in the assured knowledge that I was not missing anything of interest.

Yep - they were rubbish.  Cleminson had clearly decided on the Steve Hogarth method of preparation for a Cropredy gig.  Some of what came out of his mouth was embarrassing.  Mocking the audience for clapping along (immediately after they had been encouraged to do so by another band member) was especially pathetic.  If the music had been any good, it might have compensated for the fact that the front man was such a dickhead, but sadly all it did was show that if you take Alex Harvey out of the SAHB, all you are left with are some pretty mediocre songs.  Another nail in the 'pub bands at Cropredy' coffin.

Glad I'm not the only one to have felt that way.  Definitely the nadir of the festival by a looooong way.  And his suggesting that he was improving the festival by being there did nothing for me.

OK in his place, I guess, as long as that place is a long long way from me!

A funny Metal act to liven up the afternoon... Cheesy

The lead guitarists tone was superb - very clear and a strong player.

High entertainment value, if low on serious 'Fairportness'...

I've not heard such marmitey reviews in many a long year.  Plenty of 'band of the weekend' type comments around elsewhere if you can be bothered to find them....

[Fwiw, after last year's fringe gig, I did a bit of research online, having not heard anything before, and have to say I thought they were incredibly one dimensional.  The shock value stuff is about half a century (well, 40 years anyway) out of date too...  Still, horses for courses and all that.]

i don't know what to say, i reckon mid afternoon small stage download, but to put them in the mix at cropredy was *genius*.

i have never seen a seated audience look so confused in my life but i had a great time.

We were repairing our tent at the time, but what we heard from F2 was execrable.

I've already got tickets for Rammstein next year, so it's not that I don't like the style of music.

Not for me! I think they thought they were playing Download rather than Cropredy. I have a very varied taste in music and do like metal but this was just a poor grungy grind with so-called ‘shock’ lyrics being laughable rather than shocking. And what was it with the face paint? Were they 6 year olds? Whilst I winced but companion loved it. She was delighted by the antics whilst I just cringed. Will not bother with this in the future
