I suspect those will never appear now and eventually you'll get a cancellation or order...I ordered mine, and got it the next day.

ah ok

Just had email that mine's been despatched and due for delivery tomorrow...crikey !

Ok, I've just finished this, and I must say I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it. A couple of interesting anecdotes, but you really have to look for them amongst the sheer ordinariness of how people discovered FC.
One point of interest - I was amazed by the number of people who discovered FC later in their lives, well after the Farewell Farewell era.
Otherwise this is one for the completists only.

I was in my late teens when I discovered Fairport, in the very early 80s, so maybe not well after the Farewell Farewell era, but certainly not later in life!  I was too young to have ever seen them with Sandy, or even with Swarb (other than as a guest).

And yes, many of the stories are 'ordinary', but then many of us are 'ordinary'.  I enjoyed reading both books for that very reason.

Billy Bragg is apparently the latest to enjoy this approach to writing books from Spenwood...
