Two Bays Due Baie - Maartin Allcock & Lisa Starnini.
Thoroughly enjoying it. I was concerned that the song selections might be a little too obvious but these are wonderful arrangements by Maart. Highly recommended.

Listening to Something's There But You're Not Sure What by Friends of Fox Food. It's a compilation of artists on the Fox Food Record label who are fairly prolific providers of nice tunes on Bandcamp - https://foxfoodrecords.bandcamp.com/Davidmjs, if I could draw your attention in particular - they're big fans of the cassette release Cheers Nick

It's a very good live album. Well worth getting if you like a bit of Neil. Jules

It’s a great document - listening pleasure aside - of the first part of that tour. Time Fades Away is one of my favourite NY albums, so to hear the extended set, pre- Crosby, Nash and Barbata is a fascinating look at how things might have gone. Mind you, if that was how things were going at the start of the tour, I’d probably have got some support in on vocals too, but of course the absence of Danny Whitten didn’t help with the lack of back ups, and we all know how that turned out. I’m finding these archive live albums fascinating - the Songs for Judy set featuring a tantalising snatch of wha we now know will turn into Like a Hurricane at the start of A Man Needs a Maid, for example.

Just found out the wasp I killed yesterday was a wasp cop who was too old for this s**t and only one week away from retirement. Feel awful.

I'm on a real downer with Neil at the moment due to the rubbish he insists on releasing these days, but this post makes me want to listen to the album big time. I forced myself to listen to Zuma a few weeks back which is probably my favourite album (that, OtB and EKTIN anyway) and I remembered why I love him so....so it's nice to be receptive again.

I went through exactly the same thing, for about, ooh, six or seven years. Definitely receptive to old Neil Young again now though. Jules

Fancied something upbeat so some Herb Alpert. Watch his version of "A Taste of Honey" for effortless cool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGmQXuySF28 I fancy sitting next to a pool in the sun sipping cocktails now!

Two new Neil Young and Crazy Horse (Nils replaces Frank) songs on Spotify - Rainbow of Colors and Milky Way. Liking the first, maybe Milky Way will be a grower.

B.A.B.Y. The best of Rachel Sweet. I like many others think she is criminally underrated. Great songs. Along with the B.A.B.Y cover, I also love her cover of Baby Let's Play House.
