Got to be over 10 years since they released an album. Glad they have now as Ancora by Flook is a lovely listen with outstanding musicianship.

Flaked out on the sofa, full of cold on one of the nicest days of the year, listening to:

Psychedelic Country Soul - The Long Ryders. Still a delight
South of Reality - The Claypool Lennon Delirium. Equally so.
Blue With Lou - Nils Lofgren. This just gets better with every listen. His best record for 35 years. Maybe more.
Live at Earl's Court, June 27 1981 - Bob Dylan. I was there.
From Babylon to Avalon - Celtic Social Club. Book this lot for some summer festivals!

I'm having YouTube problems too. I had concluded that it was me. Never occurred to me that it might be a bigger thing.

I went to see the fairly dreadful Asbury Park documentary at the cinema a couple of weeks ago but it did give me a hunger for Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, who I have not listened to since I was a student 35 years ago.

Thought I would pick up The Epic Years Remastered antholgy but it is packing rather a high financial punch for a two disc set so I have made do with The Best Of which I got for £2.99 on Ebay.

The Stray Birds - Let It Pass. Sadly they decided to call it a day after the release of that album last year which is a shame as it's a fine collection of songs. And I discovered today that they're from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Not quite.  A fair chunk though.  I wanted to remind myself of the tracks I couldn't remember.  I've always had a soft spot for it's ambition, experimentation and self indulgence, and that appreciation is only growing.  I was enjoying even more of it than I thought I liked.  OK, the tracks with the kids singing are still a waste of vinyl, but there's so much to enjoy elsewhere.
