After my usual morning routine of switching between R4, R3, 6 Music & Planet Rock, have just discovered Boom Radio & actually quite enjoying it at the moment. Must be an age thing, because It's a bit like a comfort blanket for a kid growing up in the 1970s... Cheesy

An hour in conversation with a Baby Boomer of note who's still busy LIVING - with Phil Riley. This week, Phil talks to Dave Cousins - lead singer of The Strawbs.

Mederic Collignon et le Jus de Bosce - "a la recherche du Roi Frippe" CD

French jazz trumpeter + band + string quartet interpret a selection of Fripp/KC pieces, put in a couple of self-penned tracks, and finish off with a very different but rather nice version of Nick Drake's "River Man".

Thea Gilmore or should that be Afterlife, Afterlife. I am finding music that reveal people's stories particularly interesting these days and this is just such a compelling and gripping listen. A tough story but hugely passioned and heartfelt. Might need a dose of Boney M just to restore the balance after this before taking the plunge again. Wonderful album.
