I really don't.  Grin

And I don't want this big box either, by the looks of it.

50th anniversary mega box edition of the Karen Dalton album.

I'm surprised to hear that there's enough in the vaults for a "mega" box.

Link please!

Jules

You know you want the cassette really...

Thanks for the link David, I  forgot.

No sign of the box offered in the Uk yet.

Im guessing you already have the album in some edition Jules?  I've never had it, so the box is worth my considering.

I do. And I would consider buying an expanded CD of the same, but I just don't need or want all the vinyl and extra gubbins. It's hard enough keeping up with all the "super deluxe" releases for the artists I'm obsessed by, without attempting to do likewise for artists that I have a more casual interest in.

Just received my autographed "Bachman Cummings: The Collection" box set from Canada!

Now I have some clarity on the contents. It contains the following complete albums by the Guess Who:

(1) Wheatfield Soul
(2) Canned Wheat
(3) American Woman
(4) Share The Land
(5) So Long, Bannatyne

These CDs purport to be remastered, and bonus tracks on previously issued CDs have been removed. I already have excellent remasters of all but Canned Wheat, issued by Iconoclassic Records, though I am curious whether they have been improved. Canned Wheat is a notoriously poor-sounding record (BC hates it), so I look forward to hearing what they were able to do with it. The box also contains:

(1) Bachman-Turner Overdrive: Collected
(2) Burton Cummings: Collected

These are greatest hits/favorites collections presumably curated by the artists.

As a serious fan of the Guess Who, my collection also contains the post-Bannatyne albums as well as the pre-Wheatfield Soul catalog. I guess the artists wanted to focus on the "middle period," which is unquestionably their most fertile.

Yet another Zappa archive release...The Mothers 1971, with Flo and Eddie.

All the shows at the Fillmore, the Rainbow concert where Frank got shoved off the stage, and other stuff, including the John and Yoko performances....

Katie Spencer's second album The Edge Of The Land scheduled for 6th May 2022
First single to be taken from it  on 18th February

Crikey , sounds like the old days , when artists chased radio promotion with singles as a taster for forthcoming albums and tours

I thoroughly enjoyed "Weather Beaten" , and cajoled Colin to play the odd track on his radio show , she is much treasured in the East Riding , despite her move to the West

I got her CD of John Martyn covers, which I like very much.  Received email about the new one -  May seems a long way off. 😕

Can't find the reissues thread, but....

Coincidentally,  as  I was just listening to my Ryko 2LP,   Island are about to reissue Richard Thompson: Guitar,  vocal (1976) on 2LP.

I too like (early) Al, but it's about 40 discs too rich for me.  Athough I do find it hard to ignore these types of boxes.......

Agreed. What would be a lot more interesting, to me at least, would be a single CD on songs that haven't  been related before. I've heard Al do the odd unreleased song live, there's some decent unreleased stuff, how much I know not.

32 disk set of Robert Fripp solo albums, remasters, unreleased pieces. Includes 2 bluray disks containing the entire Frippertronics archive - that's 68 hours of "bleeping and droning". One for the obsessives, I think... slightly tempted, but I doubt I'd listen to most of the set more than once. £160, so less than £5 per disk once the (usually excellent) written and photographic content is taken into consideration.
