£7 a cd?  Good value, I'd argue.... Anyway, it's not up for debate...been waiting for this since they talked about it after the dodgy Charly reissues.  I'm in.

And that goes for both of you.

I've given those things up.
I'm not going to do it.
I'm not.
No.
Can't.

There will be much more info on the planetgong website over the next few days. Also preordering, I will probably get it there rather than via amazon, I guess the musicians will get a better deal...

Amazon US have a track listing for the 12 CDs but no details of the thirteenth disc, which I think I'm right in saying will be an audio DVD or Blu-ray with 5.1 mixes. I've been trying to convince myself I'm done with expensive multi-disc box sets but I feel I might make an exception for this. This seems pretty comprehensive for the Virgin years but has any idea what is being earmarked for the even bigger box set that Snapper have in the pipeline?

Here's the Planetgong release info.  With added poster action... https://www.planetgong.co.uk/bazaar/cd/gong-love-from-the-planet-gong.shtml?fbclid=IwAR3NX7bD7PmKXjUpg5Gs0d_TS-dXVYrrG0fxWhxI-2HRo3nXE5yBOQJbIpw

[Update: It appears to be + 20% sales tax though... caveat emptor]

Maria McKee  - La Vita Nuova.  Out in March.

I do love me some MM, and this sounds great: ""Yes, it's also an anglophile's love poem to England and English music. English folk, Nick Drake, Sandy Denny, Fairport, that stuff's really important to me..." (quote from Mar 2020 Mojo).

She's also got rid of the hubby and come out as "a radical queer".

Hope she plays some live dates....

Intriguing. RT doesn't usually like this stuff coming out and has been known to try and block releases but this is on a legitimate label, Angel Air so does not seem to be a grey market product.

Are they really legit?  That screams 'boot' all over it to me.  They spent at least a fiver on the cover, anyway.  Still, will be interesting to hear...
