Ditto , even with 2 ex Bellowhead in the band  Grin Wink (has Adrian gone off to James again?) John's voice wasn't quite there but great all the same.

Not sure what you mean with “even with 2 ex Bellowhead in the band’? I’m a fan of both bands (I know Bellowhead are no more) and thought Oysterband were excellent on this occasion again

Adrian rejoined James when Larry Gott opted out of touring in 2015.
I don't know who is the guitarist on the new James lp

Oysterband with Pete Flood and Rachael McShane were really entertaining.

Happy to agree. She was very good in The Transports too.

Adrian was still playing with the Oysters on their 40th anniversary shows last year (at least the ones I saw).

He was also with them as recently as this April at the Costa Del Folk Festival in Ibiza.
We were on the same plane.

John's voice was a bit weak to start with, but apart from that they were excellent, and Rachael McShane did a great job for her first gig with them.

No I bailed after the Brasenose session as I had seen the weather forecast. I was getting updates about the downpour from my mate on the field by text as I was sitting on my nice dry train.

The Oysterband made no announcement about Adrian Oxaal, so I assume he is still in the group. Maybe just a scheduling issue.

JJ just confirmed on Facebook that Rachael was just depping for Adrian while he is touring with James. The latter have a new album out I believe.

She was also a part of The Darwin Project run by Salop Folk Fest a few years back, which was rather good.

Excellent set by the Oysterband. Rachel depping was brilliant. I noticed that she had music there on a stand, but hardly looked at it.
