A three disc anthology of the previously unreleased and surviving incidental music and songs that Bill Oddie wrote and performed for the soundtrack of The Goodies TV series. These are not the comedy songs with which they charted (& of which I was never a fan) but the stuff that accompanied the "action" sequences of the show. Much of it is terrific, just as I recall from watching the shows 45 years (give & take) ago.
Would be interested in hearing this. Have you got a link so I can take a look at purchasing a copy? Thanks Just been searching for it but can't find it. Would I be right in thinking this is somebody's "homemade special", Gub? Jules Nope. Available here: https://networkonair.com/all-products/2938-goodies-the-the-cricklewood-tapes-pre-order-Despite it saying pre order for 3 December, mine has already arrived.

The 1975 - A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships. I got so fed up with friends of mine banging on about this new album on Twitter, that I listened to it this morning to see what all the fuss was about. And I very much enjoyed listening to it. Some of it I liked, some of it wasn't my thing at all, but I did find in interesting, intelligent, lyrically strong, erratic, diverse, ambitious, playful, and also a bit too shiny, emo, plastic, inorganic and poppy. Ultimately, it's not a record for a man of my age, it's for younger people, but it was at least an interesting place to visit.

Dan Stuart Marlowe's Revenge, if you ever wondered what happened after Green on Red take the time to listen to his trilogy of Marlowe records, he says they are his last. It's a sometimes harrowing experience but worth it.

I keep meaning to get the Marlowe book he wrote, which is a thinly disguised memoir about GoR. Jules

Jules The book arrived yesterday, I am kicking myself I missed Dan playing a free show last month in Portland. He is on tour in the UK now I think, or it may be over. There a a few dates left some with Sid Griffin: http://www.marlowebillings.com/shows/Okay I lied they are over, I should read dates better. Neil

The new album from Tankus the Henge ‘I Crave Attention Baby, But Not When I Drive’ . Released last Thursday.
Really smashing release, but well overdue as it contains some stuff they have been doing in their live set for a couple of years and excludes a couple of absolute corkers they been performing more recently.
They launched the album at the 100 club last week, but because the ceiling is so low they were unable to get up to their usual tricks of scissor kicking off the top etc and were unable to use the smoke machine concealed within.

So which Lennon track/album is it? After watching that Imagine documentary the other week I've been listening to quite a bit of Lennon's solo stuff. Today it's been Shaved Fish, Rock n Roll and Double Fantasy.
