Forgot to mention :

The Sundays:  Static and Silence  on vinyl.

There's some excitement about this. The 1997  release was CD only, iirc.

Not according to Discogs...

You beat me to that.  I sold mine - got a decent price (£50 as I recall) too, but it's selling for silly money now.

Interesting , i didn't know about that.

This reissue means all 3 Sundays  albums are out on vinyl again.
I cancelled my order for Blind 2LP as it only came from a US outlet  and a good few people   were disappointed with the quality.

I'm quite fond of that album. I have no idea what "avpeoper" means though.

Wish You Were Here 50th Anniversary box set, in multiple formats, just announced!

For me, the golden ticket is a 1975 live recording from Los Angeles, surreptitiously taped by a legendary bootlegger named Mike Millard. I have a couple of his recordings, and for an amateur, he produced highly listenable recordings. His tape of The Who at the LA Coliseum in 1989 is superior to the official Join Together release from the same tour, in my opinion. Really looking forward to hearing Floyd in 1975. I understand he also recorded one or more shows from the Animals tour, which I would also love to see officially released.

It's definitely tempting. Just don't show many any photos of Roger Waters while I'm making my mind up.

Honestly, I have so many versions of so many Pink Floyd albums that the appeal is really quite low.

I'll see what the price is.

Strawbs fans.

Cousins& Willoughby :  The Bridge  (1994).

This became  scarce  very quickly,   as only 1000 were made.  It's to be reissued in November.   Even though i have the CD  and the cassette (!)  I'm pleased about this.  5 bonus tracks.

So many boxed sets I'm interested in coming out between now and the end of the year. Let's see... The Replacements, The Who, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and possibly maybe Pink Floyd. s**t's gonna get pricey.

Welcome to my nightmare. Plus Ian Dury, a McGarrigles twofer and new releases by Tankus, Ian Prowse, Celtic Social Club, Dar Williams...

Could they not have spread some of this stuff out over what has otherwise been a quiet year?

Miles Davis "Complete Plugged Nickel 1965" 8CD (or 10LP) set being rereleased (in Miles' centenary year!) with new packaging, liner notes, photos in January 2026. Official MD store has it on (pre-)order for £77.  I have digital (flac) files of the 7CD set, but I reckon I'll go for this one.

Thinking my annual Christmas box set gift (to myself) this year will be this one. Which will make three years in a row I have plunked down for a Bear Family boxset. Last year it was the Memphis Blues Box Set (1914-1969) and the year before was The Bakersfield Sound (1940-1974). I realized a while back that though I like being a completist of a lot of artists, I genuinely enjoy the look into entirely new, or less explored musical areas. Especially via box sets, and Bear Family do these sets so well. For this one, reviving a lot of lost music and artists from two different labels utterly fascinates me.

That Miles set does intrigue me too, and I know my wife would love it. I played Sketches Of Spain for her last year one day and she was spellbound by it, so thanks for sharing that!
