Abbey Road related..

Fun and games in Hollywood last Thursday, they closed Vine outside Capitol Records.

Local cough....'news'.... https://ktla.com/2019/09/26/50th-anniversary-of-beatles-iconic-abbey-road-album-celebrated-in-hollywood/

Great Patrick Stewart/Paul  story...

https://www.udiscovermusic.com/news/patrick-stewart-abbey-road-crosswalk-ceremony/

The two guys behind him are grinning City Hall toadies..

@ Isn't 'Reissues of Interest' an oxymoron?

The Band
https://theseconddisc.com/2019/09/rag-mama-rag-the-bands-self-titled-album-to-be-given-50th-anniversary-box-set-treatment/

Personally will go for the 2 CD version as you get all the bonus tracks with no vinyl which I can't play anyway.

Thanks for that, pre-ordering the 2 CD version, $20; Not bad.

Guess I already have all the 'last remastered + bonus tracks' CD's but Rag Mama Rag did it for me Smiley

Could also go in the Listening to thread, as I played it last night:

Third Ear Band : Alchemy  (Esoteric LP, 2019).

Just noticed this 12CD + 1DVD GONG box-set released last week - curated by Steve Hillage,

8 cds of live recordings.

https://planetgong.co.uk/bazaar/cd/gong-love-from-the-planet-gong.shtml

70% of rare previously unreleased recordings bit pricey at nearly £95 ( £112.19 on Amazon)

£250 quid....but...30 discs etc.  Surely that really is too much of a good thing, but, bejesus, they were a great band.  I'm still kicking myself for not getting to some of the more recent (partial) reunion things.

Yes it's quite a purchase isn't it.  I don't think I'll be going for it.  I have the albums in some manifestation, and I even sold a copy of Scraping the Barrel boxed set a few years ago on the grounds I didn't listen to it.

At last, Roadhawks has been released on CD on the Atomehenge imprint, complete with baby poster.

One of several compilations that were only available on vinyl that I re-constructed on Audacity recently. I'll have to see if Brock did a better job than me ! (I hope so, it cost me £12 for his.)

A package of Bob Pegg and related back catalogue.  I already have this stuff  but it's been unavailable for a while so some people may be interested.

Yes that's it. I have the Bob Peggg anthology which came out some time ago  and the Carole Pegg album separately.  This lumps them together.
