Just because I hated curry (which was generally the only food on offer by the time the gigs finished in those olden days) Grin

At least you didn't do a Jeremy Clarkson about it, Wink Jude. Or I hope you didn't.

Well certainly if Ashley is so wary of "girl singers", it's taking a while for him to change his ways.   Wink
Jules

“Girl singers are far too much trouble,” his bandmates concluded...

It wasn't him, sir - it was the other boys...

As Jude says above - it doesn't sound like Ashley.

In this clip from 'Folk Brittannia' Richard Thompson says "Sandy was high maintainance. We thought it would be an easier life with Sany out of the band". So I suppose that was the general feeling with the other band members at the time.

That is referred to in 'I've always kept a unicorn'.

The MOJO article is lifted pretty much wholesale from IAKAU (as no-one refers to it).

They're both written by Mick Houghton

Well, yes, they would be.  Huh

"MOJO’s story is an extract from Mick Houghton’s superlative new Sandy Denny biography, I’ve Always Kept A Unicorn, published by Faber & Faber." unquote.
