Henry Parker - Llamas Fair

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43e5Ty0BwO8

Henry's got a new album coming out.  He's Katie Spencer's (who I know some on here know and like) other half.

Thank you David - I'll look into that  Smiley

Just found a video of the excellent Green Ray (Man and Help Yourself connections, though Richard Treece has sadly departed this world...)

I saw the Green Ray at that same event some 8 (?) years earlier that 2016 when Richard was still around.  Fantastic band.

As parting shots go, this is good.
Lana Del Ray, to a country that didn't get that she just plays a character and the abuse she suffered for that.

From the last verse of 'Arcadia':

They built me up three hundred feet tall just to tear me down
So I'm leavin' with nothing but laughter, and this town
Arcadia
Findin' my way to ya
I'm leavin' them as I was, five foot eight
Western bound, plus the hate that they gave
By the way, thanks for that, on the way, I'll pray for ya
But you'll need a miracle

Sarah McQuaid has a new live album coming out on the 15th October called The St Buryan Sessions. Here she is performing the Michael Chapman song Rabbit Hills.

I just came across this online project that fiddler Ross Grant has done, recording pieces with musicians from different countries. It's titled Around The World in 80 Plays and here he is with Leija Lautamaja, a melodeon player from Finland...

I did see that.  It impressed me more for the formation marching, which was astonishing, and I can't imagine how that is choreographed and performed, than musically - although being able to play whilst marching like that is very impressive.

It is kind of weird though, isn't it?  Why the tribute?  What's the connection?  It's like going to see Leyton Orient play a match and have a 15 minute "tribute to Gentle Giant" performed on the pitch prior to kick off.

I happen to know several Leyton Orient fans who have an appreciation of Gentle Giant. You never know.  Grin

There's one celebrating The Music Of Queen, and another of Michael Jackson. Oh, and a (slightly wobbly, handheld) celebration of The Beatles...

Not a bad attempt at realising the full song from the otherwise unavailable Pink Floyd song snippet in the More movie.

The final number ("Starless") of the final (?) King Crimson performance.  Just...stunning!

If that's it for the band - what a way to go out!!

(Hoping for a DVD/Bluray release for this concert...)
