Do you recognise the band before them?

Not at first viewing.

Something in my head tells me I should, but I can't reach it, even if I do know.

I know what you mean.  Then again, seeing footage of any bunch of youths from the late 60s can fool you into thinking you're looking at a well-known band.

Hey, I still have a 4-inch scar on my leg from an injury suffered while swimming in White Rock Lake about 12 years after this film was made.  That puts me within 1 degree of Lou Reed.

It could possibly be either Mother Earth or The Loading Zone?

Mongolian folk rock from The Hu.  11 million previous views can't be wrong.  And the cinematography...

I imagine there may be limited appeal for this on here, but one or two might like to have a quick gander...this is the first part of a new interview with Penny from Crass about a re-master and re-release of the Crassical Collection....less than a decade after it was last done, but, hey, who are we to argue?

I'm in, anyway....

I went to Sunday school with a girl who sang with a reformed crass in fact she replaced me playing piano in the Sunday school. Very talented and it wasn't just the fact that she could play the piano with both hands which made her a better musician than me. Great band crass though and carol was great with them

Cool.  Hodge?  She's in Steve Ignorant's band (who very much aren't a reformed Crass, although did those Feeding of the 5000 shows 10 years back or so).

I think she had a stage name(Crystal Grenade), she did when I saw her at solfest with a metal band a few years back, great vocal and amazing presence. I wish I could be that unselfconscious, probably comes with practice and ability!

They did a gig in Cambridge yesterday.  Carol played a solo set too...

I missed these Black Cab Sessions. Bit silly having three musicians - in this case RT, Debra Dobkin and Judith Owen - jammed into the back of a taxi but we get one song from the 1000 Years album followed by one I haven't heard before about a milkman...
