No visuals, and an obvious selection perhaps, but it's the one I tend to reach for on the first of May:-

I used to live in Cornwall many moons ago - I saw this a couple of times 'in the flesh' - this brings back so many memories.

Lovely version of Beverly Martyn's The Ocean by Francoise Hardy. The album from which it comes from,If You Listen IS worth a listen. There is also a very passable version of The Garden of Jane Delawny.

Yes, think so. I'm looking toward to the new album. And I must see them live. I think the Leigh folk fest is their next gig but due to work commitments I can't make it.

Discovered Reg Meuross at the weekend at Cromer, Folk on the Pier. It was a fantastic weekend, Oysterband headlined, but this is a new discovery for me and I liked his stuff a lot. especially this song, banned by the BBC  Wink...check him out....

...and as for this lot! It was talent, fun and great for an afternoon on the pier, I just felt it went on just a little too long.

I've just discovered that Neil Kempsall has made an animated video to go with Martyn Bennett's "Mackay's Memoirs". Very reminiscent of his earlier film for "Hallaig" and well worth the watching. It's on Vimeohttps://vimeo.com/92154821. And for those unfamiliar with the Hllaig film, the version on Vimeo is much higher resolution then YouTube. https://vimeo.com/25562404.

Seen Reg a few times now. He's just exceptional. All the songs are good , they changed her mind, is just about the best condemnation of 20th Century Psychiatry Ive ever heard.

But my favourite is the excellent and Jolly "Drovers Road" which he has promised to play for me at Wirral folk festival on June 7th .

What a line up for the main stage that night.

First................... Merry Hell
Then ..................Blackbeards Tea Party
Next ...................Reg Mueross
Finally................. Fairport Convention.
