I'm seeing him in a week's time. I've seen him a few times and can't recall a bad concert. You're just in time too, as I guess you know, this being his last tour. I hope you enjoy.

For anyone in the OX postcode area, Mid-Suffolk’s finest close harmony acoustic duo - Honey and The Bear - are heading to Banbury Folk Club over Oxfordshire way - doors open at 7.50pm. this very evening (13/3/19). The Church House, 2/3 North Bar St, Banbury. OX16 0TB
Keen-eyed viewers may recognise them from recent GBFF or Cambridge Folk Festivals.

Peter Knight and John Spiers at Kendal Parish Church tonight. I haven't been to a gig there before but churches aren't exactly known for their comfortable seating. I think there are still tickets available and we've been advised to get there early as some seats have a restricted view. But I'm sure the sound will be lovely.

Terry Riley is playing 13th April in Bristol - St George's Church (of Anthrax?), according to his website (14th is Brighton).

Couldn't have gone to any SW gigs 13-14th anyway - I'll be on Teesside...

Very much looking forward to this Fri and Sat in Aberystwyth.

I used to know Aber really well, but it's been a while.  Anybody recommend any nice cafes/eateries?

Knight and Spiers tonight at Acapela,  north of Cardiff.
It's a great pairing of two wonderful musicians,  so I know I'm going to have a good evening.

Just announced - Squeeze at the Paramount Theater on September 17!

Last time Squeeze played Austin, they played La Zona Rosa, which has no seats.  Everyone danced and sang along like college kids.  The Paramount is a staid theater, where folks sit still, enjoy quietly and applaud politely between numbers.  It will be interesting to see how the band responds to what I anticipate will be a subdued audience.

Cropredy 2012 veterans Larkin Poe just announced for the 50th anniversary of Woodstock in Watkins Glen, NY.

Not presently planning on attending, but who knows?

Our trip to Acapela on Sunday threw up a whole year's worth of nights out - what a fabulous venue it is!

Three Daft Monkeys this Friday!

Then later in the year such acts as Dean Friedman, Barbara Dickson, Sheelanagig, Trials of Cato, St Agnes Fountain,  Jon Boden and the Medieval Baebes,  and those are just the ones I can remember!
