Next up - Sir Elton John, December 12, 2018, at the cavernous AT&T Center in historic San Antonio, Texas!

I've seen a few shows here, including Elton/Billy Joel Face2Face a few years back.  It's everything you would expect from a modern basketball arena.  Massive echo and muddled sound, and a football-field length between audience and performer.  Looking forward to it!

It reminds me of Roger Daltrey's comment during the Quadrophenia show at the Ice Palace in Tampa, Florida in 1997: "I'm sure this is a great place for playing hockey, but we can't hear anything up here."  (Pete subsequently asked the crowd to "shut up" so he could hear himself play.)

I know there is a dedicated Ralph McTell thread but this is also an upcoming gig for me which I’m very much looking forward to...Ralph McTell at the Queen Elizabeth Hall (Southbank Centre) this Friday 7 December. Anyone else going. We’re in row D of the front stalls  Smiley

Curse of Lono at 81 Renshaw, Liverpool on Friday. Their gig at the Soup Kitchen in Manchester a couple of weeks ago was one of the very best of the year for me, so a bit of a no-brainer not to go for a repeat in Liverpool.

The Travelling Band at YES, Manchester on Saturday. Hometown gig at a new venue with the promise of a marathon set with special guests.
