Our trip to Acapela on Sunday threw up a whole year's worth of nights out - what a fabulous venue it is!

Three Daft Monkeys this Friday!

Then later in the year such acts as Dean Friedman, Barbara Dickson, Sheelanagig, Trials of Cato, St Agnes Fountain,  Jon Boden and the Medieval Baebes,  and those are just the ones I can remember!
I will make my first visit there in a few weeks to see Dean Friedman. Mike is a Barbara Dickson fan so might sort a few tickets for that too... it's a great place!  Cheesy

Jon Boden and the Medieval Baebes,

Now, that would certainly be an interesting double act!

Glad someone else has discovered Acapela - my favourite Welsh small venue! Although taxis find it hard to locate - I usually tell them to come to the pub across the road!

One day I’ll get back back down to Cardiff for a reunion as I was there between 1980 and 1983 at the University. Had a great time and saw many many bands (well, I was a student  Grin ) Maybe next year as it will be40 years since I started Uni...my God is it that long? Wonder how much it’s changed?

Phil Collins just announced a gig at the Toyota Center in Houston, one day before The Who perform at the same venue.

I passed up previous chances to see Phil/Genesis, so this might be the one...

Really , is there a Texas equivalent to the Samaritans you could call
How bad has life got that someone would consider this kind of action
Go see the Who instead
and this from a John Martyn fan who can't even touch "Grace & Danger"

Just heard they're doing an acoustic instore set at Bandlands tomorrow at 5.00 as well, so even better!

A mate of mine has just booked them to play at his birthday. Still waiting for a few final arrangements but it's in early September and free entry, just in case you can be in Nantwich around that time.

No income and pretty depressed.  I might have a look in Badlands though.

I've just realised Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash are playing in Maesteg in a week or two.  I love early Ash, and think the current  official version of the band are as dull as ditchwater....am I likely to enjoy this lot?
