Kelly Oliver + Tobias ben Jacob & Lukas Drinkwater at the Musician on Thursday. One of my gigs and rather worried that the usual apathy of Leicester gig goers will not give them the audience they deserve.

Just been checking out Kelly's website, really good stuff. Now if you could just shift Leicester 60 miles south I'd be in the queue for a ticket. Hope you have a good crowd, this music deserves to be heard

Fabian Holland at Twickenham folk club on Sunday.  Intrigued to see him, as he is playing support on part of the Fotheringay tour.

…and very good he was, too.  Reminded me of a young John Martyn.

Blues/jazz lovers are in for a treat this weekend with Sean Taylor headlining the first Barry Jazz festival, a whole weekend of FREE music at a variety of venues around the town and on Barry Island. https://m.facebook.com/pages/Vale-Jazz-Weekend/290117411178319?sk=events they don't seem to have a website, only a Facebook page,  but it kicks off on the Square outside my office at 4pm on Friday and I can't wait!

Jonathan Byrd in Kelvedon on Saturday, First saw Jonathan at a house concert in a Central Park West apartment in Manhattan, just by chance as we were looking for gigs that coincided with our NYC trip, really enjoyed his music so pleased to have another opportunity to see him live.

Maybe making a day of it and visiting Colchester Zoo as well.

Me and Mrs B are off to see Chris Wood at The Hothouse in Morecambe on Sunday - not Heysham as it says on his web site! Before that he's at Bury tonight and St Helens tomorrow.

Really nice venue, did mean to attend this gig myself but three gigs in three nights if a bit much for me. Fotheringay last night and Richard Herrings: Lord of the Dance Settee tomorrow.

Not a gig, but should be interesting. Steve Hackett is on for an hour of the usually excellent Niall McCormack's Needle Time on Vintage TV (Sky 369) tomorrow (Tues) night at 10.30

Cool line-up.  I hope Blondie's chops are fairing well.

Two coming up. Next Thursday (2nd July) I will be seeing Justin Hayward solo at Porthcawl, really looking forward to this. But before that a 'gig' of a different kind - I'm singing with Barry Male Voice Choir this Friday at the choir's annual concert. One more rehearsal to go and then we're on. Wish me luck! Smiley

BMVC was the first Welsh Choir I heard, when I was a very young youngster. I had heard nothing like it and it held me enrapt. I can recall the feeling, but not what the songs were. Lovely stuff. Good luck Mick and enjoy Andy.

I'm in the Gower Mick so can't go, I would say "break a leg" but in view of Dave Grohl's recent mishap I'll just wish you well  Smiley have a great time

Off to see the Emily Portman Trio at the Musician tonight. Last time they were brilliant, with some of the best harmonies I've ever heard. So hopefully in for a great night.

How will the KC's get on without their singer? Yes you can find a drummer under any rock but a lead vocalist /drummer?

Just got front row tickets for Ronnie Spector at the Liverpool Philharmonic.  Grin

I'm taking my mom.
Her theory for me being so obsessed with music is that when she was pregnant with me, she used to sing 'Be My Baby' into a hair brush when it came on the radio, as it was in the charts at the time.(Be my baby....get it ? Not that I had much choice at that point.)
I'll go for that...I've always loved the Ronettes and that song in particular.
