Booked already! Don't believe what it states - try & purchase now & you'll be pleasantly surprised! Might consider the Roin2 too, and make it a triple whammy! [/quote]

I always get annoyed by the "why on earth aren't you playing in..." type comments, but nothing North of the Robin does seem a tad harsh.
Really want to see them, but not enough to make a dash to London, sadly....

There is hope: "We have had many messages asking if we are doing any gigs further North. ONLY If you are a promoter or Venue owner who is interested in booking Gryphon during the May 2015 tour, please contact Don McKay at The Rhino Agency rhinoagency@btconnect.com .... No personal enquiries please." I've already alerted the Trades Club (but the more that do, the merrier)

Statement from the band on FB:
To our Fan’s, friends and all who have continued to support us over the years, it is with deep regret and great sadness that we have to announce that Richard Harvey will no longer be able to continue as a member of Gryphon. Richard has considered his situation very carefully and his current and future commitments to touring, film and composition work plus the considerable time contribution to his charity, The MAE Foundation, make it impossible for him to dedicate the time needed to continue as part of the band. This decision has not been an easy one for him and we would like to thank him for all his hard work and major contribution to the band over the years and of course we wish him much success in whatever he does in the future. The remaining members of the band, Graeme Taylor, Brian Gulland, Dave Oberle and Graham Preskett have decided, whilst it will be extremely difficult to replace Richard, that Gryphon will continue. To this end a statement will be released shortly.

Bummer. For a while, due to a misread record sleeve, I thought he & Richard were the Krummhorn brothers.

Rather worrying update on FB
We are extremely sorry to have to announce that owing to the sudden very poor health of one of the founder members of Gryphon, we have no option but to postpone the following gigs: 29th October - Ropetackle Arts Centre, Shoreham-by-Sea 7th November - 1865, Southampton 10th November - Robin 2, Bilston The planned gig at the Brindley Theatre, Runcorn on 9th November had already been taken out as a result of very poor ticket sales. We are devastated to have to make this decision at such short notice, but we have no option, as we are under ‘Doctor’s Orders'. We hope to reinstate all of the gigs as soon as possible and will of course make announcements when new dates are fixed.
