Talking of Linda, does anybody have any item signed by her (as Linda Thompson) which can be 100% guaranteed.  I've got an autograph which I think might be hers, but I would like to confirm this.  I guess I could ask her on FB but I don't want to be a pain in the arse.

Ok, well I obviously did want to be a pain in the arse, so I asked her, and she confirms it is her own signature.  I'll post details of it in here later - a weird one!

From a screenshot I saw, it's the acoustic rarities album, not an exclusive. Maybe proved wrong, I'll check out the magazine and see but don't get your hopes up.

It has definitely got the same guitar playing lion in a beret cover, but about half a dozen releases have got that cover now, so I'm not sure that is conclusive...

Seen a track listing now and it looks really interesting. Tracks culled from many sources including the latest. I was wrong in my assessment it is just an old album repackaged. Worth the price pf a magazine I think.

I didn't know about either of those Bandcamp EPs until just now.

I think it’s as a capable an introduction to Thompson for civilians as any, and just enough undiscovered treats (see above) to keep the completists happy.

I've no idea, but I'd like to hear one more with DM on drums.

If it was just another studio album I'd argue against.  Not sure the world needs another like the last (insert number of your choice)....?  A live album, especially of the shows next year and ready for Cropredy is much more likely, I'd have thought.  But if they went in the studio with Richard and other old chums, that could certainly be of interest...

In Nigel Schofield's piece on Fairport's 60th anniversary year next year in the Cropredy programme there was a reference to 'maybe a new album' amongst other things that would be happening.  Nothing more definite, I don't think.

I've thoroughly enjoyed Fairport's recent studio albums so I'd be delighted to have another one.
