I managed to get backstage at Portsmouth Guildhall after a Fairport gig. It was the Nine lineup.
I didn’t have my copy of the album with me, but there was a Corn Flakes box in the room.
I now have an autographed back of a Corn Flakes box stuck to the inner sleeve of my copy of Nine!
I wonder if Simon still has the Cornflake box shaped guitar? I seem to remember it making an appearance at Cropredy a few years ago? Of course, I may just have imagined this!  |

I'd possibly go with a Status over a Steinberger or, indeed the above Riverhead design. However, even Status acknowledged the aesthetic benefits of headed basses, and added them to their range later on. |

I would have no idea. They were all revolting. It threw the balance off, visually. I also used to wonder how it felt when playing in first position, but not enough to ever want to pick one up. Jules |

Yes, I'm struggling to know exactly what to write. I discarded a first attempt as it contained far too much information, like verging on autobiographical details. The remit is apparently "your Fairport journey", so I'll have another go over the weekend. |

I sent him mine seems like a year ago, and was glad of the chance as I'd missed it for the first book, which I found an enjoyable read.
Then I too got the request again last week. Which makes me think maybe he's struggling to fill it this time around...
