Let It Be is my least favourite Beatles LP.

Really?  Yellow Submarine is mine.

They can't pretend that the original film never came out.  Or that Paul and John never both fought with George.  Or that George never left.  Or that John never wanted to replace him with Clapton.  Or that John wasn't out of his head on smack.  Well, they can, but the truth is already well known, so stop trying to sell us the sanctified version of The Beatles.  We've already had 38 years of them doing that with John Lennon.  The dishonesty does nobody any favours.

Yes, just let it be.

Jules

Hmmm.  Ok, then...of the ones I don't ignore...  Grin

I don't know if this has been discussed elsewhere, but this is interesting.
I have my thoughts...

I'd be interested in seeing this, even though all it would be, is more of the same that we watched 50-ish years ago.

Can we have them at Cropredy please? Or Neil Innes in the solo spot before FC?

I think Neil did Cropredy many years back. 80s maybe. Before my time anyway. I am going to see him in a few weeks.

Yep. No full tracklist yet though. Only discs 1-3.

This looks like a must have around the £100 mark. Bob will almost certainly be relegated to a download though. I'm not going to be able to afford both within a week of each other.

Thanks.

Massively disappointed that they either haven't located or included the second version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps or included the proper master take of What's The New Mary Jane.  And personally speaking, listening to backing tracks has sod all appeal.

The rest looks good though.

I can't for the life of  me think why anyone wouold want any takke eof What's The New Mary Jane. Wasn't the master take on Anthology? I guess the template for this (backing tracks etc) has been set by the Pepper box. I will probably only listen to most of it once and end up making a single disc comp of the best bits but I still have to have it. It just looks so gorgeous.

This is where my money is going. I have convinced myself that I don't need 55.1 and Quadrosonic mixes of Imagine or hardback reproductions of Dylan's notebooks. Those will both be single discs and downloads for me. Now if only I could find a way to get the half of the Bowie box that interests me for a sensible price.
