I've done my usual round up of new releases of the past 12 months and posted it on my blog. I can't say there have been many albums that have had me playing them repeatedly but my Top 5 folk and acoustic albums of 2021 are -

Rhiannon Giddens & Francesco Turrisi - They're Calling Me Home
Honey & The Bear - Journey Through The Roke
Sarah McQuaid - The St Buryan Sessions
Karine Polwart & Dave Milligan - Still As Your Sleeping
Katherine Priddy - The Eternal Rocks Beneath

Also worth a mention are

Brendan Eder Ensemble - Cape Cod Cottage
The Stranglers - Dark Matter

Sam Kelly & The Lost Boys The Wishing Tree
Banter Three

I'll have to check out those two as I have other albums by them. Banter's cover of Roxanne on their album Dare is rather good - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmRISp2OEZg&ab_channel=SeurasOg
