Sad news. The Railway Folk Club in Portsmouth, which sadly closed in 2003, hosted Archie for their very last gig - an excellent evening of music from a true gentleman of the genre. I remember him playing his own versions of The Wounded Whale and Dark Eyed Molly, as covered by FC.

Very sad to hear this, reading the many tributes on FB now - RIP Gilson, a sticksman of style and versatility... I saw Jools a couple of times in the 80s before he formed his Big Band when it was a trio of himself, Gilson and a bass player. Sad news. He was a fine drummer.
