Maybe not a musician himself BUT Mr Dolly Parton, Carl Dean, died at 82 after 60 years of marriage.

Brian James, original guitarist with The Damned, aged 70.

And Aaron Rossi, formerly drummer with Ministry & Prong, at just 44.

As Sensible has made clear in his social media post, they really were Brian's band to start off with...a sad loss.

That's really sad news...

I was lucky to experience a reformed Damned at this festival back in 1988. Just looking now at the poster, and realsing what a pretty fine billing that was!

Rest in peace Brian.

The only time I saw Brian was with the original Damned line-up around that time as well. It was an all-day event at Brixton Academy. They played most of the first album and then Captain switched to guitar with either Bryn Merrick or Paul Gray taking over on bass and Roman Jugg on keyboards.

Sounds like his death was quite sudden from what Captain has posted.

He was writing on FB as recently as the 18th.  I mean he didn't look that well with the reunion shows (he was pretty static for most of them), but still...

Very sad.  Never saw him - had the chance too.  Regret it hugely now.

By way of Dan Ar Braz’s FB-guitarist Soig Sibéril, who played with several Breton bands, Kornog being perhaps the most well known.
