Sad news. I first heard "Cruel Crazy Beautiful World" on a trip to France nearly 30 years ago, and it's an album I cherish. RIP, Johnny...

Very sad.  I'd have loved to see him live, but never did.  First heard him 30 odd years ago and have loved that music ever since.

Very sad. I first saw him with Juluka in Botswana in 1983 playing outdoors in a small stadium in Francistown and then 2 years ago on his Farewell tour in the Hammersmith Apollo. Despite having had major surgery to remove the pancreas and several courses of chemotherapy he could still do amazing Zulu dances.

Well, wiki may obviously be wrong...but...

The distinctions around there are hilarious.  I worked at Whitworth Library from which you can almost literally throw a stone into Rochdale.  But if you got it wrong, there sure was hell to pay!

Blimey. The Mott alumni are dropping like flies.  Cry
And only 64.
Those two Mott albums are not widely loved but I really like them and will give them a spin later in tribute Only Morgan & Ray left of that line up now.
