Yes it was! I've looked at my programme from 1996 and there's a notice that he'd be doing a signing on Saturday afternoon.
( I got him to autograph it.)
Blimey, nearly 20 years ago.

According to his obit, he lived out his life in Hilo, Hawaii, a magical place where I could imagine doing the same. RIP

Mrs. John From Austin and I saw her at the Paramount Theater on May 30. She performed with the energy and stamina of a 20-year old.

Reverting to Glenn Cornick's demise he even got an obituary in the Times. It's actually a classic and includes his son's comment previously mentioned.

I missed this. That is sad. I didn't realise that he was that sort of age, though the Crusaders heydey is of course now 35 years or so ago. |

That is sad news...I also imagined he would be quite a lot younger...Time does pass by quickly...  I bought my first and only Crusaders album (Street Life) just a couple of months ago...Initially to get the incredible title track with Randy Crawford...Ended up enjoying the whole (mostly instrumental) LP though !...  ...RIP |
