I was so glad that I got to hear Norma sing in person a few times over the years. What a voice. Will be playing lots of her music this week.

Ultimate Classic Rock reports the passing of Ian McDonald - King Crimson, Foreigner, Judy Dyble, etc. - aged 75.

Love everything he did. RIP

Irish flautist Brian Dunning passed away yesterday - probably won't be known to many here, but I particularly enjoy his collaborations with keyboardist Jeff Johnson (not the more famous one) on a series of albums inspired by the books of Stephen Lawhead.

Just seen on Facebook Derek Hussey aka Derek the draw, Frontman for the Blockheads since Jan Dury's death, died I his sleep last night.
At least it seems to have been a peaceful death.   RIP Derek

Thoroughly enjoyed them at Cropredy - he was a very worthy replacement for Ian but brought his own personality to the band. RIP Derek

One regret I have is never seeing Ian Dury live, I loved his stuff. But the next best thing was seeing The Blockheads at Cropredy, what a great performance that was. R.I.P Derek.

I couldn't say it better. He was excellent, but not an Ian copy. Very sad.

Gary Brooker of Procol Harum.

Jules
I thought I'd already seen this posted on here? Anyway, one of the great voices, musicians and songwriters of our time. I wish I'd seen him live  Sad

I found this about Procul Harem at Cropredy in 1995 https://www.procolharum.com/crop_95.htm , again making we wish I'd gone to the festival when I first heard of it in 1990 instead of waiting 14 years!

RIP Gary
