I've never seen a Bob Dylan CD in a charity shop.

I hereby express amazement at this comment.  I see 'em everywhere.  Normally early stuff like Freewheelin'.  Later 90's+ material is a regular too, although almost never from once he becomes momentarily listenable again.  What is truly bizarre is that you don't fall over copies of the Christmas or Frank Sinatra b**lox.  Grin

Never seen one round here and theres plenty of shops. Plenty by Fatty W, Westlife, Will Young and Katie Melua though.

I did warn you Bridgwit. You need to put Goldrush on to clean your ears out after listening to Landing on Water (and sinking).

I love Turin Brakes - I can't believe anyone would give their CDs away!

You tend to get that when there''s a hit single (or a 'Later...with Jools...' appearance) and then folk realise it's atypical compared to the rest of their stuff. Shortly after 'Runaway Train' you couldn't move for Soul Asylum LPs.

For the princely sum of £2 from Oxfam in Cheltenham, I nabbed a copy of John Rae's Celtic Feet CD - self-penned hybrids of Scottish trad-sounding tunes and melodic jazz.

Two good ones from Reading's Oxfam music shop today - Fairport's Cropredy 98, which I haven't seen for sale before, and False Lights Harmonograph - looks like a promotional copy, a week before the official release date!

Spotted today in the BHF shop in Cheltenham: Santana IV "Live from the House of Blues" 2 CD & 1 DVD set for £5.99.

Pity I bought it just 10 days ago for the best part of £20 (Xmas money). Bah!
