Given my body shape, it's also odd that it fits.  Grin

Had a tip-off from a chum that the local hospice charity shop had had a Fairport item I might appreciate.

Indeed, there was a black "Fairport @50 Team Cropredy" jacket in mint condition for £8. What's more, it fitted.

Well pleased.  Smiley

The only trouble now is that when you wear the jacket, everybody will think you’re 50 years old.
However, we all know that you’re actually late 30’s.  Grin

"At Home" - Roberto Fonseca and Fatoumata Diawara (+ band) recorded live at the Marciac Jazz Festival a few years ago. £3 from Rise in Bristol. Malian/Cuban jazz-funk. Nice...

99p for a 2CD "best of" set by Celtas Cortos. All info in Spanish. I was sure I'd heard of them somewhere, but couldn't remember. Put CD1 in the player, and lo and behold, track 2 is the original version of "20 de abril" as covered by Oysterband. In fact, the entire album is very Oysterish - though slightly more celtic in flavour.

Also picked up for a song today, though not yet played: "Ubermood" by percussionist/producer Christian Prommer, "Blue Fields" by Marjan Vahdat, and "Rework_Philip Glass" - a double CD of remixes by the likes of Beck, Amon Tobin, Cornelius et al.

Well you learn something new every day. Had no idea "20th of April", one of my favourite Oysterband numbers was a cover.
Must study the credits more often than I do already Smiley

Nah, it's fab (I've had the download since it came out).  You do have to make sure you don't accidentally listen to the Mumford's version of FotD though.  There's literally only 2 or 3 howlers to be honest...and a good dozen or so corkers.

A Jazzy Little Christmas. 16 smooth versions of seasonal tunes played by top musicians including Tommy Eyre and Mel Collins. Nice.  Cool Just right for background sounds while heating and drinking the mulled wine.
